Childhood!

From my earliest memories, I was interested in computers. As a curious child, blissfully unaware of the profound depths that awaited me, I went through a journey that would prove both challenging and rewarding. This odyssey began with exploring Windows XP, Paint, and PowerPoint around the age of seven. Later, it was followed by the question of “How to create interactive things?”. I did not have a single clue. At the age of 11, a pivotal moment occurred. One day, after playing Super Mario, I browsed its resources and, to my amazement, successfully modified some of them. Then, that rush of excitement kicked in! I knew I loved creating stuff, but somehow, digital creation seemed to be an even greater joy. I continued to stick to the realm of computers passionately, as I saw the real value that lies in improving ideas, or better yet, bringing entirely new concepts to life.

Yaad Logo Yaad

I’ve been fortunate to get to make a multiplatform, offline-first, end-to-end encrypted personal knowledge management system called Yaad. It’s been an incredible journey of personal growth. When I first started working on a prior project called “My Moments” back in 2018, I had no idea that it would eventually evolve into something much bigger. You can read about this specific story here. Looking back, I realize that the journey of building Yaad has been as much about my own development as it has been about creating a powerful tool for others. In the process, I’ve learned about software architecture, full-stack app development, implementing offline-first systems, and more topics, but the greatest reward has been the insights I’ve gained into myself.

The logo depicted above represents the Persian word “یکتا” (Yekta), which translates to “unique”. It is designed symmetrically, combining the two components of the word: “یک” and “تا”.
